Shooting Clothing, Shooting Insurance and Guns

What to Wear

British weather is notoriously unpredictable and can change very quickly in a day, so be prepared. Certainly on a formal shoot you should wear a collar and tie but the important thing is that you are comfortable, warm and dry. If you need any guidelines just look through any British shooting magazine to see the kind of clothes that are appropriate.

Insurance
No one should shoot without full insurance cover. The cheapest and the easiest way to get this is by joining the British Association for Shooting and Conservation which provides full cover for accidents, with third party liability up to £5 million.

A Word about Guns
Visitors who wish to bring their own guns to the UK must have a visitor's shotgun permit. This is obtained by Shooting Parties on your behalf.
